1. Display marketing
  2. Social media marketing
  3. Mobile marketing
  4. Search engine optimization (SEO) marketing
  5. Pay-per-click (PPC) marketing

First up, Mobile Marketing. Mobile Marketing contains all the good aspects of the rest of the strategies listed. It allows reaching all sides of audiences from SEO to PPC to Display marketing to Social media marketing. Also, it provides time and location-sensitive data so it is easy to update whenever needed. Moreover, this strategy became a requirement in businesses. It is obvious to be the best strategy out of all the listed strategies.

Secondly, I put Social Media Marketing. Social media marketing is great for promoting and reaching customers as well as providing three particulars for marketing and engaging with an audience: Network targeting, Social advertising, Viral marketing. However, if the business does not have the marketing budget to allocate to managing social media marketing campaigns and staff, it is difficult to implement. It could require quite amount of budget. Even though, it’s a trendy strategy to use.

Third, Display Marketing(Advertising). Display Marketing takes advantage of getting information for targeting audiences, which meets the requirement of gauging customers’ interests. Also, it allows targeting audiences across multiple devices which helps to gather information. However, similar to SEO, Display Marketing is tricky in updating new data as well as it can be difficult to ensure a good result.

Fourth, SEO marketing. SEO marketing is the most accurate strategy to gauge audiences’ interest based on using its own algorithms to find what users are looking for. But there’s one big problem: Extremely time-consuming. Since it has to optimize thousands of potential keywords in algorithms, it would take a much longer time to gather all of the things. On top of that, it is complex to update with changing trends. Even though it guarantees a great result, this is not the best strategy to choose.

Lastly, Pay-per-click (PPC) marketing. The main reason I put this strategy last is that it has high risks. Let’s say I pay 25 cents per click and 100 people click the ad per day. I would have to spend $25 for that day and if that continues for a month, it will cost me $750. This strategy is too vulnerable to losing money even though it guarantees high-quality ads.  Considering all the aspects, it comes last.
